Ryan checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. Another beautiful day of weather again for our group. We had lots of bottom fishing action. Our 37 anglers caught limits of red snapper, limits of sculpin, 65  miscellaneous rockfish, 2 sand bass, and 35 whitefish. So, a really good day for our group. The recommended tackle is 8-10 ounces of weight, leadheads, size 2 and 1-0 hooks and plastics, if you've got some. People fishing the plastics and leadheads were catching really big sculpin today. Ryan checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. We had 56 people and we ended up with limits of sculpin, limits of the red snapper, some grouper, and other odds and ends to go along with it. We didn't catch limits of rockfish, but we caught some quality ones that wanted a bite there for a little while. We didn't have a whole lot of time after our sculpin, but we caught some whitefish in the mix too. All together, a good day of fishing for the amount of people that we had. If you are planning on joining us tomorow, I recommend the 10-ounce weight, make sure you bring some lead heads, and some number one hooks for the live bait and strips of squid. Ray checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. We got back from a one-day overnight charter. We ended up with a white seabass, and lost another five or six fish. We picked a few halibut, one legal, and the rest were just a little bit short. So overall, pretty fair fishing at the island. Ray has the latest fish report for you below.

Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. We had a lot of kids on the boat, and they did really well in the rock fishing. I was actually kind of surprised they hung with us, fishing in like 300 feet or so. Our 14 anglers had limits of red snapper, limits of sculpin, 35 bocaccio, 70 miscellaneous rockfish, and 2 sand bass. So, not too bad of a day here today. We fished the bottom most of the day. I'd recommend to bring at least 10 to 12 ounces if we're fishing the rockfish, 10 to 12 ounces with size 2 and 1-0 hooks. When we go fish our sculpin, we've been switching to 8 ounces and fishing the lead heads and plastics. Make sure you guys bring an array of tackle out. Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. Happy Mother's Day today! Ended up being a really nice trip for our 22 anglers. We had limits of red snapper, limits of sculpin, 110 miscellaneous rockfish, 65 grouper, and 15 whitefish to round up the day there. Really really good fishing all around with action all day. If you would like to join us the recommended tackle for the rockfish is 10 to 12 ounces of weight and size 2 to 1.0 hooks. For the sculpin, make sure you have lead heads and plastics for those. The guys fishing the plastics were catching the big ones, and people fishing the hooks were catching the really small ones. So it makes a big difference having those lead heads. And there's good reports from way down south, but they got to have the warm water to swim in to get up here, but they're coming. A little bit's starting to happen. Donny checking in for Pierpoint Landing. Yeah, I'll give you a schedule update. Enterprise, we'll be going at 6 o'clock for sure on Thursday morning, fishing the rockfish. And then bring your surface gear, too. It's been really good rockfishing, and they've had time to go look for the bass and the barracuda and whitefish. So bring both types of outfit, but they're going for sure. You can book online, purepoint.net. Also, the City of Long Beach is scheduled Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, just like the Enterprise. And you can go online there. They leave at 10, get back around 4, and they're targeting the sculpin and whitefish and rockfish, and looking for the surface fishes.

The weather's beautiful. Overcast is just about done today, and no wind for the next five or six days. So a good time to go fishing.
