Andy checked in for the Enterprise out of Pierpoint Landing. We were out today with our normal regulars that come every Thursday. They like to fill their bags with the large cod fish, so we did that for them. We're back out tomorrow with a pretty light load. We're looking to do some surface fishing as well. The weather was beautiful today. The water was really nice coming home, and I expect some decent surface fishing as well. So if you're coming on any of these trips, bring a couple different rods. Obviously, we prefer the surface fish. There's always rockfish and bottom fish to fall back on if we have to, but the weather looks good. The water looks nice. We'll check back tomorrow. Andrew checked in for the Enterprise out of Pierpoint Landing. A lot of Rent Rods today, I'd say 90% Rent Rods, so we decided to stay on the beach. Worked out nice. Fill all you want on the bottom grabbers, wide open the rock cod. And we spent our whole afternoon catching barracuda and bass. The action is really, really good. A ton of barracuda in the water, a lot of bass. A lot of shorts still. We're getting very close. The water's beautiful. We traveled to the islands, offshore, different banks, tried everything. Started to see what's the best option. And right now the local fishing I think is still the best option for now. As far as catching fish all day long. Plenty of action. Good fishing. Everyone's going on the back for fish. Andrew has the current fish report for you below.

Ray checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. We had a 2-Day charter. The guys wanted poke around in all the little nooks and crannies at the islands looking for exotics. We didn't have big numbers, but we did pick out some fish and caught yellowtail, white seabass, and 17 halibut and double that many on the shorts. We had some action on some nice calico bass, and rockfish kind of filled the bags in the first afternoon. So overall, everybody had something to take home and got some good-eating fish here to take with the guys. Ray has the latest fish report for you below.

Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. Another really nice day today with good fishing. Our count for today was 27 anglers with limits of sculpin, limits of red, 55 rockfish, and 35 whitefish. We had really good quality on the red snapper, with a few up to 6 pounds. The recommended tackle to bring out is 8 to 10 ounce weight, size 2 and 1-0 hooks, lead head, and plastics for sure for the sculpin. I say it almost every time, the guys using the lead heads were catching the bigger sculpin, and the guys using the hooks were catching the smaller stuff. But also start bringing out some surface stuff too. This stuff starting to heat up a little bit, and we're starting to see signs of barracuda and stuff like that. Some areas showed potential and some didn't. Finished the day with a yellowtail, some bass, barracuda, bonito, sculpin, some nice island reds, and other cod fish as well. Ryan checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. We had a little better than 40 people on the boat here. We caught limits of the sculpin to start off. We ended up catching our limits of the red snapper and lots and lots of other rockfish to go along with it. We saw a little bit of sign of things to come here guys, so we're probably going to be changing up gears here. This next coming week, I'm going to start focusing on more of the surface stuff here. The water is really starting to look nice, warmed up, and we're starting to see a little bit of fish.I'm hoping to kind of mix it up a little bit more come next week. Hey guys, Joe on the Tornado. Hey, we had a pretty good trip there last trip. Ray told you all about it. A lot of chances, and unfortunately, we missed them. We think we were hooking those things in bull kelp, and they take you right to the bottom. Anyway, a lot of seabass out there, and they did their typical thing with the seabass. They made their circles, and every time they'd come through, we'd hook one. A lot of shorts out there also, which to me, I like to see that. Shows that we're gonna have some fish there later on.

Hey guys, I dropped our price. We wanna get off the dock. I dropped the price for a one-day overnight to 185, and that starts tomorrow night, Tuesday night. So grab a group of guys, and we wanna go fish. For the seabass, looks like there's some yellows out there at the outer islands, like Clemente, and we wanna fish this stuff.
