We decided to fish the island today with some beautiful small bait, and it worked out great! Picked up some nice yellowtail good bonito fishing and good action all day on the bass and barracuda. We will be surface fishing as long as fish are around, whether it's the island or offshore. So please come prepared with SURFACE tackle.

City Of Long Beach Wrap-Up Report

The City Of Long Beach with 43 anglers caught 175 sculpin, 3 sand bass, 15 calico bass, and 15 rockfish. Excellent day of bottom fishing with some bass to go along with it!!!

Another great day of island fishing as these beautiful delicious hard fighting bonito just simply could not resist the anchovy! We also had bass and barracuda as well.

Great day on the water for our charter group today and the kids killed it with very good bonito fishing lots of barracuda, bass, a halibut, and a couple yellowtail that got away. Excellent anchovy fishing! A good sign of tuna around today.

Fished the island again today and had good calico fishing some barracuda a couple of bonito and had a shot at some large yellowtail in the afternoon. A properly fly-lined bait was pretty instant on the nice bass. Please bring an assortment of rods as we will be doing some offshore fishing as well.
