City of Long Beach Wrap Up Fish Report, Limits of Sculpin, Bobby is Live

Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing with our 10 to 4 wrap-up report. Our count for today was 36 anglers, limits of sculpin, 8 or 9 red snapper, about 20 or so miscellaneous rockfish, and that was about it. We targeted mostly sculpin this morning. We got some bait too. We were going to try for some bass, once we fished the sculpin, but we really didn't catch too much. We got a lot of shorts, with one legal calico bass, and saw a lot of barracuda, but I think it's just a time thing. We need some more time of warmer water. Bobby has the latest fish report and tackle recommendations for you below!

Ryan checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. Things are picking up. We managed to catch some bass--lots of shorts and quite a few legal bass along with a legal barracuda. It seems like it's kind of that first stage of something that's moving in. It wasn't for everybody, so we did a little for everyone and also went outside to catch limits of sculpin and a handful of rockfish. Things are looking up moving forward depending on the conditions. Andy checked in for the Enterprise out of Pierpoint Landing. We had a good day of fishing at the island today with beautiful tropical weather. We had very good bass, fishing big baracuda, bonito, lots of bottom critters, and had a couple chances at yellowtail. Things are definitely headed in the right direction.

Ray checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. We're on the first of a 2-day charter. The guys wanted to go look around, so we looked around the outer banks here today. No exotics for our travels, but we caught some nice big red rockfish for the guys and a couple of nice big lingcod. We're going to head for a different area looking for warmer water and yellowtail is on the agenda. We'll check-in with you all tomorrow. The weather is shaping up nicely. City of Long Beach Wrap Up Fish Report, Ryan is Live

Ryan checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. Good sculpin fishing for us. It took a second to get dialed in there. Lots of people on the boat. Not sold out, but close to it. Lots of angles and tangles, but we managed to get things working in the right direction there and captured what we needed to on the sculpin. We tried to put a little bit of extra rockfish in the bags, there but that didn't work too well. Still nothing going on the surface here in the local areas but hopefully that's just a matter of time. The water is definitely warming up, that's a plus, but the water is still very dirty and we need it to clean up and get everything going in the right direction. For the time being, we'll just focus on what we're doing, and we'll keep you updated on any kind of change. Ryan has the latest fish report for you below!
