Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. It was a really different day today on the water. We had some really windy weather and it blew away there for a bit. We still had decent fishing though. We decided to do the sculpin thing to start. We had a packed house with 72 anglers. We caught limits of sculpin and 47 sand bass for our group. Everybody had some fish in their bags, and they were happy with that. Bobby has the latest fish report and tackle recommendations for you below.

Joe checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. We're out here looking for waiting for the Sun to go down. We managed to scratch up a handful of yellows this morning. Nice big halibut and then some calicos, bottom grabbers, barracuda, that stuff. We came out here and we picked up one bluefin, about a 50-pounder to this point, and we're waiting for the Sun to go down. Anyway, we're anticipating a night. There was also plenty of bottom fish for those who wanted that. We had an action-packed afternoon. We also saw signs of some big barracuda moving into the area. They were a little touchy, so I think a big score of those are coming soon. The weather has been beautiful, and I haven't seen fishing like this in a long time. Our 36 anglers caught limits of sand bass and limits of sculpin. We got done on sandbass really quick. It was pretty much full speed for about an hour and a half. Managed to find a good school after looking around for a short while there and capitalized on that. Just want to remind you, we've got a two-day trip this weekend, Friday night, 8 PM departure, targeting white seabass, yellowtail over at the islands, and possibly tuna. So kind of recommend bringing all the gear, see how the fishing lays out here in the next few days.

Ended up our day with limits of sand bass for our group there, and also had a good showing of barracuda, and looks like more and more barracuda are kind of moving in with the new batch of fish on the sand bass, looks like more fish moving up a different, kind of a different grade, but it's more and more fish moving up all the time, it seems like there's more barracuda with it, so hopefully we see that moving forward, definitely need something more with the sand bass, but we'll take this because it's a blessing anyways, as good as it gets.  Ryan has the latest fish report for you below.

Anyways, that's what happened on the City of Long Beach today, plenty of room on the boat tomorrow, we are a guaranteed go for tomorrow, actually I think we're pretty much a guaranteed go for the rest of the week guys, so there's availability, but we're going, so go ahead and make your reservation there on the website, pierpoint.net, go on there, get all squared away with everything, you can call down landing if you want to before they close, and if you have any questions, otherwise, tackle, just some 3-4 oz torpedo sinkers, some number 1 hooks, some plastic lures, and that's about all you need, if you got a weight and a hook, you'll be okay. Hope to see you guys on the boat, like I said, plenty of room for tomorrow, if you guys want to get out there, I'd like to get some more people on the boat if possible, so yeah.

Bobby checked in for the Enterprise out of Pierpoint Landing. Another amazing day of fishing. Really, really good day all around. Weather was beautiful. Bass fishing was all you wanted. Really good fishing today. Our count for today was we had 18 anglers. We had limits of sand bass, limits of red snapper, limits of sculpin, one lingcod, 60 rockfish, and 30 whitefish. Oh, one sheephead, too, as well. Really, really good fishing for us today all around. The reds were up anywhere from two to five pounds. And sand bass, too. I think our jackpot today was around seven pounds. A really, really big sand bass. They were pretty much eating paint off the boat this morning. We were done with limits by 8.30. So it was really good fishing there. Guys fishing the plastics were almost every cast, same as the dropper loops. They were really good. They're four-ounce weights for the dropper loops, like a foot and a half reverse dropper loop leader there with a size 2 or 1-0 hook. So really good fishing there. Guys fishing the double hook-up bait rig or whatever, they were catching two at a time. So it was really, really good fishing. And like I said, beautiful weather as well. After we were done with the bass, we went and targeted the sculpin and got done with those pretty quick, too, and then spent the rest of the day catching reds and other cods in the shallower water. I think we were fishing 150 feet there. So really good fishing. Recommend bringing out an assortment of tackle there. Line from anywhere from 15 to 25-pound test. Guys, we even saw some barracuda as well. They didn't really bite for us in the morning, but I heard they bit a little bit this afternoon for the half-day boat. So good signs of fish. Hopefully, that stuff starts making its way up towards us. So really good fishing here.

Joe checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. Check your weather on windy. Man is it going to be nice at the end of the week. We put on a couple of overnight trips. The guys said on Saturday morning they woke up to a full-float squid. They got a picture of it man. It looked like you could walk on the water by the boat. We had squid and gunny sacks and buckets. Anyway all that to say we got three tanks full of live squid and we're gonna go back for those big yellows. Yellows are quality fish. They're right there in the same seabass grounds.

So we're heading back out there Wednesday night. 200 bucks leaving at 8 o'clock. We'll try for squid. Probably won't eat any. And then Thursday night for Friday. And then Friday night, we got a two-day trip. And the way the weather is looking I don't know what zip code we'll be fishing in, but we can make some distance. So Wednesday night to Thursday. Thursday night for Friday. Friday night for Saturday and Sunday a two-day trip. Let's go fishing.
