Ryan checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. We ran yesterday with a light load of 15 people and had real good fishing. We fished on the bottom and managed to capture quite a few gaffer-sized sheephead, lots of sculpin, and miscellaneous shallow water rockfish. The water temps dropped a little, so it has been tougher to get a surface fish. We've been fishing shallow water for all the stuff that we're catching. Ryan has the latest fish report for you below.

Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. We had really beautiful weather today for our group. Overall, we ended up with a nice mixed bag of fish. Our 61 anglers caught limits of red snapper, 165 whitefish, 35 miscellaneous rockfish, 10 sculpin, and 8 sheephead. We mostly focused on the bottom today and stayed in about 150 feet of water to minimize tangles, and it paid off with some great quality fishing. The red snapper were in the 2-6 pound range, and the white fish were pretty nice-sized too. Bobby has the latest fish report and tackle recommendations for you below.

Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. We had a decent day today with beautiful weather. Our 47 anglers caught 185 rockfish, 85 whitefish, 4 sheephead, 75 red snapper, and 45 boccacio. Pretty good bottom fishing for us today. We were fishing about 280 feet or so. The sculpin stopped biting for us, so we're starting to transition to the rockfish stuff. We had decent fishing all around. Bobby has the latest fish report and tackle recommendations for you below.

Randy checked in for Pierpoint Landing. We have the city of Long Beach going for sure with a super light load. Last time I looked on there, there were six reservations.
We have the Enterprise going for sure tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. We should be keeping our eyes out for a report from them from today's trip. They only had 10 anglers, nice light load this morning on the Enterprise. And I believe they're heading over to the island to check out and see what they can find on the Yellowtail, Bonita, Bass, Barracuda Department. Keep an eye out for that report later. Light load, good weather, fishing the rockfish, calico bass, barracuda, sculpin. Bring your gear, be ready for everything, but they're going for sure at 10 o'clock and then going for the rest of the week.

Ryan checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. Good fishing on the surface and the bottom. Picked away at the sculpin and whitefish to start off the morning. Finished up the second half of the trip fishing for bass, barracudas, bonito, stuff like that. Pretty good bass fishing. Lots of action. Probably about 30 to 35 keeper bass in the mix, but all the throwbacks that you wanted there. Handful of barracuda, and some benita to go along with it, too. So all in all, still summertime fishing, good fishing, and warm weather. Weather was actually really, really nice today. Ryan has the current fish report for you below.

Our 18 anglers caught limits of sculpin, 23 barracuda, 13 calico bass, and 75 whitefish. Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. We had a really nice day today with beautiful flat calm water. Our group of 26 caught limits of sculpin, 32 calico bass, 12 barracuda, 25 whitefish, and 3 bonito. We had pretty good fishing with a mix of fishing the bottom for big sculpin, and fishing the surface for really nice-sized calico bass, barracuda, and plenty of shorts. Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. Really nice weather today. It was a beautiful day that was pretty much flat and calm all day. Our 50 anglers had limits of sculpin, 46 whitefish, and 78 red snapper. So pretty good fishing for us. We opted to fish on the bottom for the majority of the day. Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. We had a really nice day today for us. Decent weather, a little bit of wind, but pretty nice weather overall. I think our count for our 32 anglers was limits of sculpin, 16 calico bass, 10 sand bass, 6 barracuda, and 26 whitefish for our day today. So pretty good fishing for us. We got a little bait this morning, so that was nice to go do a little surface fishing after our sculpin and get a decent pick on the bass up to 6 pounds. Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. It was really windy for us today, with a little bit of swell too. Not the nice weather we've been having the last four or five days. It was a little bit rougher, so we decided to stick to the bottom most of the day. I think our count for our group was 49 anglers with limits of sculpin, 15 whitefish, and like 7 or 8 red snapper. Bobby has the latest fish report for you below.

Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. It was a really nice day today for us with beautiful weather. We had pretty much close to a sold-out boat with 73 anglers. We had limits of sculpin, 120 red snapper, 56 rockfish, and 35 whitefish. So really good bottom fishing for us with a variety of different fish. It made for a nice day for everybody. We had a lot of newcomers with a lot of rent rods, so a lot of people were catching their first fish. It was pretty easy fishing on the bottom. Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. We had a decent day today with our 63 anglers. We had limits of sculpin 43 red snapper, 3 sheephead, 20 perch, and 1 lingcod. So, not too bad of a day overall. We didn't get too much bait this morning or yesterday, so we weren't really able to fish bass or barracuda, so we stuck to the bottom stuff. I don't know what the plan is for the weekend, but we'll take it as it comes. Hopefully, we get some anchovy at the barge, and maybe we'll fish some bass or barracuda after the sculpin. Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. It was a beautiful day today on the water for us with decent fishing. We didn't really fish the bass and ended up fishing sculpin most of the time. So, our count for today for our 41 anglers was limits of sculpin, 3 calico bass, 11 sand bass, and 3 sheephead. Unfortunately, the bass didn't really want to bite for us too much. We tried fishing a few different areas, and it didn't really work out too well. But we did get some really good-sized sculpin, and got done with limits pretty quickly. We got some fish in the bag, so the people were happy.
